Legal Expertise

Launching the firm in 2013, Serena has been hands-on for the past decade, making strategic decisions to strengthen the company’s position while leading a hand-picked team of passionate, committed lawyers.

Serena started her legal career in 2000 in a top tier commercial legal practice, where she specialised in real estate, construction and corporate law.

In 2008, Serena moved to the Insolvency Service, a UK central government department, where she specialised in company law in the highly specialised Public Interest Unit. There she prosecuted company directors involved in tax fraud resulting in director disqualifications.

In 2009, due to her close working relationship with Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs Department (HMRC), being the UK central government department for the collection of taxes, Serena was poached by HMRC to work for them.  At HMRC, Serena was involved in tax default prosecutions and litigation, in the areas of corporate tax, VAT, Customs and Excise.

In 2012, Serena moved to local government, to Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council where she was the Principal Lawyer in charge of the Council’s legal department. Here, Serena, specialised in general litigation, planning and healthcare. Serena, also supported Manchester City Council in the areas of Court of Protection and mental health advocacy, and human rights.

Serena is also the CEO and founder of Global Capital Hub a high end venture capital and business consultancy firm.

Day-to-day responsibilities for Serena, involve briefings and meetings with her staff regarding their cases and discussions on strategy, reviewing reports and proposals for new projects, as well as client consultations and activities to develop her network of business leaders and contacts.

Currently Serena, is focused on developing Monarch Solicitors branch in Dubai as she is a registered advocate of the DIFC courts (Dubai, UAE).
